THE JULIE ALEXANDER

this is me
Leadership. behaviour. lived experience.

I work at the intersection of performance and humanity — because I’ve experienced both done well and done badly.

THE INGREDIENTS

Before I ever stepped onto a stage or into a boardroom as an advisor, I spent over two decades in corporate leadership roles across government and global organisations.

I’ve led high-performing teams.

Built new divisions.

Delivered commercial results under pressure.

And I’ve experienced workplace cultures that energise — and those that quietly erode.

Sunday night dread is not theoretical for me.

Neither is the power of walking into a workplace that brings out your best.

That contrast shaped everything I do.

My career has spanned the British Government, global brands including Avis and Cendant, and financial institutions such as NatWest, Lloyds, RBS, ANZ and CBA. Across sectors, I’ve seen how leadership behaviour directly shapes culture, performance and risk.

Today, alongside keynote and facilitation work, I lead Culture Incorporated by CCI — my advisory practice focused on strengthening the human systems that drive sustainable performance.

Whether I’m facilitating a strategy session, delivering a keynote or working behind closed doors with a leadership team, the goal is consistent:

  • Sharpen thinking.
  • Strengthen accountability.
  • Make work more human — without lowering standards.

Because even strong organisations drift.

And small, intentional 2mm Shifts™ compound into meaningful change.

what i believe

Culture is shaped less by values statements and more by everyday leadership behaviour.

Psychological safety without accountability is comfort.

Accountability without care is fear.

High performance requires both.

Resilience is not endurance. It’s judgement under pressure.

And small behavioural shifts — consistently applied — change outcomes.

who i work best with

Leaders who are curious enough to examine their own impact.

Teams willing to have honest conversations — even when they’re uncomfortable.

Organisations that understand performance and people are not opposing forces.

If that sounds like you, we’ll work well together.

k

Go courageously

Growth usually lives just beyond comfort.

Courage comes before confidence.

Create with intent

I care deeply about the work.

If I’m in the room, I’m all in.

Lead lightly

I take the work seriously, not myself. Humour and warmth make difficult conversations possible — and help learning stick.

BEYOND THE BOARDROOM

Offstage, I invest time in causes that matter to me — mentoring at-risk young people and refugees, supporting homelessness initiatives, and contributing to organisations addressing exploitation and disadvantage.

To raise much-needed support funds, you may also find me jumping off bridges, walking on fire or sleeping rough.

Impact matters in every arena.

There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up

Let's talk

Whether you’re planning a leadership event, aligning a senior team or navigating complex cultural dynamics, the right conversation changes outcomes.

If you’re clear on your brief — great.

If you’re still shaping it — that’s fine too.

Tell me about:

  • The audience
  • The context
  • The outcomes you want to create
  • Timing and budget range

I respond personally to all serious enquiries.

Leadership shifts don’t happen by accident.

Let’s make yours count.
